Danny and Diane met at Liberty Bible College in 1983. There were married there in May of 1984. Danny received his BA in Theology and a Ministerial Theology degree in May 1985. Diane also received a Ministerial Theology degree and they both also met the extra requirements for Counseling Certificates.
Danny served in an interim position as pastor of a small Spirit filled Methodist Church for almost a year and then the Rogers left for Mexico. After serving as missionaries to Mexico for 5 years, Danny and Diane spent 15 years serving in a large suburban church. Danny was Youth Pastor and saw many young people touched and transformed by the power of God. He and Diane took many missions teams of youth to places as diverse as Inner City Cleveland, New York City, London England, the mountains of Kentucky and Guadalajara and Colima Mexico. They went on multiple trips to many of these places. Diane was an integral part of the youth ministry and served as Missions Director for several years.
From 2006 to 2011 Danny and Diane opened and ministered at the Freedom Center in downtown Jeannette Pennsylvania. This was right off the street and got pretty interesting at times. It was in a rough part of town and we never had a huge attendance consistantly but we had a faithful core of believers that we ministered to and we partnered with the Inner City Truth Center. We shared one of 2 storefronts with ICTC which was a ministry to the children of the area that met a huge need there. This was a season of transition that the Lord had us in where we left the 'big' ministry and dealt (I believe faithfully) with smaller ministry.
As the injuries I recieved during my time of service in the military continued to get worse it became apparent that having another facility to maintain and a weekly service were too much for me. We handed our part of the building over to Lonnie with the Inner City Truth Center. They were getting more and more kids and needed the room. As usual with God the timing was all perfect.
The next transition God had for us was into a church where we don't have any responsibilities beyond attendance and giving. We are enjoying church.
Recently God has been simplifying our lives, and has moved us
into a new season of relational ministry.
