THE FREEDOM CENTER
A wonderful Christian lady has the "Inner City Truth Center"
on one side and we are "The FreedomCenter" on the
other side. Drop in and see us sometime if you are in the area.
We have church and Saturation services there and right now,
come on by. See the schedule on the home page for exact details.
2008 School Aid
We have more than enough materials! We thank all who participated.
These were supplied to the children who attend the meeting at the
Inner City Truth Center w/ Lonnie.
What's happening @THE FREEDOM CENTER
We meet there on Saturdays (begin at 5 pm - 6:30pm with food
and fellowship following the Acts 2:46 model) then we have a time of Praise
and Worship and Bible discussion. We use the 'open meeting' format. We
may have a time of ministry praying for each other and for expressed needs.
We can respond to the leading of the Lord.
It's hard to wrap our mind around not doing Church in the traditional
Pastor/Pew, Audience/Speaker, passive listener to an active participant
model. We literally have had to "unlearn" unbiblical practices we
have been taught and just accepted. Things we have just 'done
that way' since we could remember and just assume it's
direction from the Bible. Take a look at this link for a book that
opened my eyes to whatI was doing, I thought I knew why I
was doing things the way I was doing them.

I don't know how many times after a traditional service someone asked
me "What was the message about?" I can't remember and many times I
replied,"You know, I'm not really sure when I think about it." The style or
model we use is working for House Churches all over the world and it
works for us. It's informal, intimate, your mind is engaged and there's
a sense of community. You come away with a real sense of what the
Bible was saying because you were a part of the discussion. God uses
all of us for the building up of the body. Everyones opinion is valued
and the only dumb question is the one that's not asked. There's time
for some real fellowship and relationship building. Below is a link for a
follow up book to the above link showing us how the early church
really 'did church'. Check it out if you aren't too comfortable
with your traditions. http://www.reimaginingchurch.org/

It's not huge and ornate but it's ours at an incredible price. This
way God's money gets spent on helping people that He leads us
to help. The $comes in and we give it out, it's not complicated.
We don't pressure people to "tithe" or give to our ministry. We
believe that God doesn't need our help and can speak to people.
We say the Biblical model is give as you feel led to give
with a cheerful heart, not under compulsion. (2 Cor. 9:7)
See the link below and read an article I wrote on giving and see
the Biblical foundation for feeling this way. This article generated
the most feedback of any article I have ever posted on the
web. Even though it's clear in the Word you won't hear this
preached much. Read this and you decide for yourself
if you need to un-learn a few things.

The Weekly Word
Each week (I try to do it each week but sometimes it ends up being the 'almost' weekly word.) Pastor Danny sends out a message from theBible to those on his distribution list. (If you want to get on the list and receive the Weekly Word just drop us a line with your e-mail address from this link mailto:FreedomMinistryNetwork@comcast.net It may be a series, teaching or a message on a topic or theme. All the Weekly Words he has done may be accessed in the "Weekly Word BLOG" on the homepage of the website.
Discipleship
Pastor Danny developed a 10 session disipleship course during the 15 years he was a Youth Pastor. It begins with session 1 "Conversion" and goes all the way to session 10 "Personal Evangelism". It covers everything a believer needs to get started building a firm foundation for their faith. There is plenty of space and time given to address questions the person doing it may have. It's very adaptable for whatever age and demographic of the person doing it. He has seen incredible fruit in the lives of youth and adults that will commit to weekly training in the Word.
Simple Church
The way church has been done for years is changing. God Himself is bringing this change about. The Bible tells us "... where two or three (implying any number more than one) come together in My Name, I am there with them. Matt. 18:20 When believers come together you have "Church". It doesn't matter where that may be. It could be in a big traditional church building, it could be in the living room of a house, it could be at the Mall or Starbucks. From the early believers meeting in the catacombs escaping Roman persecution to the churches in the book of Acts this was the way the early church met. The Mega Church model isn't found in the Bible. I'm not against big churches as long as they have small groups so the organic dynamic of the members of the "body" of Christ can function unhindered. In fact to the surprise of many the position of "Sr. Pastor" isn't found in the New Testament either. We are all active participitants in the life of the church or we are passive, part time listeners sitting on the sidelines hoping our number gets called. In a church of more than 1000+ more than likely that will never happen. That's one of the reasons I am so thrilled to have found a way to do church that is relevant.

In Christ's Image Training
This is incredible training for growth and maturity in our Christian life. The material is from Francis Frangepane and is deep stuff. Keep and eye out for notifications of when the next group will go through. As I write this a good sized group just completed level 1. When we decide to take more through we will post it on the site and give all the deatails.
The Network
All meetings that meet regularly that are associated with Freedom Ministry are included in "The Network".
Freedom Ministry Network Inc.
We are incorporated and are a member of the "Liberty Fellowship of Churches and Ministers" -see link on links page for more info.-
Simple, Organic or House, we call it Church!
By "organic church," I mean a non-traditional church that is born out of spiritual life instead of being constructed by human institutions and held together by religious programs. Organic church life is a grass roots experience that is marked by face-to-face community, every-member functioning, open-participatory meetings (opposed to pastor-to-pew services), non-hierarchical leadership, and the centrality and supremacy of Jesus Christ as the functional Leader and Head of the gathering.

Speaking and teaching
Danny is a gifted communicator with both youth and adults. He has a passion for the Word and is available to share at camps, seminars, youth groups, church services and other events. If your group needs to get a fire going of passion, awareness and zeal for the Presence of God and what that stirs up in the people give Danny a call and schedule him for a meeting.
-This is a quote from "BJ" on a service he recently did for the Youth Group at Concord United Methodist Church in Beaver County.
"Danny, Thanks so much for the awesome experience at Concord. I was so excited I can't tell you how much we all needed that dose of the Holy Ghost. My daughter brought some unchurched kids that night and one boy, Jake was really touched by the Lord. He e mailed my daughter that night as soon as he got home and said, "I'm not sure what happened to me tonight, but all I know is that I'll never be the same." I was so excited to hear you talk about the power of the Lord that is available to us if we just tap into it. Thanks again for blessing all of us.
We haven't had a service like that in a long time. " B.J. Below is a link to the update I did about this meeting.
